Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gül

Physician. Hospital CEO. Author. Educator. Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gül has spent over 22 years at the intersection of clinical medicine, executive healthcare leadership, and digital transformation — across five countries and some of the world's most complex health systems.

🇹🇷Türkiye - 🇸🇦Saudi Arabia - 🇦🇪UAE - 🇬🇧United Kingdom - 🇶🇦Qatar

A physician who never stopped asking how care could be better.

Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gül is a physician and internationally experienced healthcare executive whose career has been dedicated to reimagining how care is delivered across diverse health systems. His professional journey spans Europe, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East, where he has led the establishment, development, and transformation of multiple hospitals and clinical services — from commissioning the first hospital in NEOM City to building Dubai's first teaching hospital and leading one of the largest teaching hospital groups in Saudi Arabia.

With a foundation in clinical practice and over 22 years of international executive leadership, he has consistently championed models of care that integrate operational excellence, digital innovation, and a deep commitment to human connection. His philosophy centres on the belief that meaningful healthcare transformation begins with engaged caregivers and informed patients — supported by technologies that elevate, not replace, the human touch.

He earned his medical degree from Erciyes University and pursued executive education at Cornell University and Harvard Business School. He serves as an Honorary Professor at UCL Global Business School for Health, is recognised by Forbes as one of the Top 50 Healthcare Leaders in MENA, and is the founder of CSR Middle East. Today, as Country CEO at Apex Health Qatar and CEO of The View Hospital in affiliation with Cedars-Sinai, he continues to lead healthcare transformation at the highest level — while sharing that experience through the Connected Care platform, the book, the podcast, and a global community of healthcare leaders.

"The role and goal of Connected Care is to use technology as an enabler — while making sure we continue to enlarge the care part of our role as caregivers. When we miss human touch, none of the technology will be helpful to us."

Deep expertise across every
dimension of connected healthcare.

Ten interconnected disciplines — each grounded in real-world hospital leadership, and each directly relevant to the challenges that healthcare leaders, technology builders, and policymakers face today.

01

Digital Health Transformation

End-to-end digital transformation strategy — from vision and technology selection through implementation, adoption, and measurable outcome delivery. Built on 22+ years of leading real-world deployments across five countries.

02

AI Governance in Healthcare

Frameworks for ethical, safe AI adoption in clinical settings — governance committee design, vendor evaluation, AI scribe deployment, and building the organisational structures that ensure AI serves clinicians rather than overwhelming them.

03

Patient Experience Architecture

Designing the complete patient journey — from digital discovery and pre-admission through treatment and post-discharge continuity. Mapping every touchpoint, removing every point of friction, and building the systems that make patients feel genuinely connected to their care.

04

Digital Patient Engagement

Remote patient monitoring programmes, digital nudging systems, medication adherence platforms, and post-discharge engagement tools that extend care beyond the hospital and measurably reduce readmission rates.

05

Hospital Operations & Operational Excellence

Leading multi-site hospital operations from 450 to 1,000+ beds — patient flow optimisation, quality systems, JCI accreditation, clinical governance, and the operational infrastructure that makes every other transformation possible.

06

Technology-Driven Operational Efficiency

Using technology to systematically eliminate operational waste — workflow automation, digital dashboards, data-driven KPI management, and the tools that give clinical and administrative teams more time for what only humans can do.

07

Teaching Hospital Development & Academic Care

Designed and operationalised Dubai's first teaching hospital (Fakeeh University Hospital). Honorary Professor at UCL Global Business School for Health. Building academic care models that integrate clinical delivery with research, education, and innovation.

08

Healthcare Leadership & Culture Development

Building the leadership cultures that sustain digital transformation — executive development programmes, caregiver engagement frameworks, change management methodologies, and the Connected Care Leadership Programme for C-suite leaders.

09

Healthcare Technology Selection & Procurement

The structured 8-point framework for evaluating and selecting digital health solutions — applied across partnerships with Siemens Healthineers, du, DP World, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and multiple healthtech companies. Cutting through vendor noise to find what actually works.

10

Healthcare Ecosystem Design

Designing connected health systems that span hospital, community, government, and payer — policy alignment, cross-sector integration, and the population health infrastructure that ensures technology serves every patient, not just those already inside the system.
